Our client wanted to increase the square footage of their home, but keep the same footprint and colonial style. In order to retain the existing lot coverage, we lifted the entire structure, removed the existing foundation, and built a new full basement under the house. The existing home was then lowered onto the new foundation walls, and upgraded to modern construction standards. The complete, whole-house remodel and landscaping project opened up the interior space to give long sightlines through the whole house and moved the bedroom areas to the basement and second floor to provide large areas to entertain guests on the main level.
